Civil Engineering involves utilization of scientific knowledge for welfare of human beings. Over the years, shelter, water and communications have remained always on priority in national planning.
Department of Civil Engineering at Vishwaniketan’s iMEET was established in the year 2013 and has continually upgraded itself in terms of academic programs and research infrastructure including state-of-the-art laboratories. The Department has an intake of 60 student. The department has young and dynamic faculty members and the best of the students for its Bachelors programs ensuring quality education.
The Department encourages its students to engage in extra-curricular activities (group discussions, aptitude test, presentations), project based learning, value addition programs(STADD PRO,REVIT structure and architecture, AUTOCAD,CIVIL CAD,PRIMAVERA,ETABS,MSP etc.), summer internship training ,which are essential for development, nurturing of team spirit, and developing organizational skills. We frequently organize the site/industrial visits for students to improve the practical knowledge. Department is closely associated with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and various industries like Structwel Lab, Zara P Care. The department offers consultancy and testing services to the various agencies and is proud to be associated with several projects of national importance like a joint adventure with CIDCO in developing smart city in Khalapur Area.
